This is Fidel, one of my very first carvings. He still has a special place in my workshop.

About Me

I’m the artist behind Treeborn Art Studio, a small workshop dedicated to handcrafted wooden art.

My journey with wood carving started as a self-learning curiosity. What began as experimenting with tools and scraps of wood slowly grew into a passion for creating unique pieces by hand. I enjoy exploring different kinds of wood, each with its own character, texture, and story. Walnut is my favorite—its rich color and grain always make carving especially rewarding.

Every Treeborn piece is carved, shaped, and finished by hand, so no two pieces are ever the same.

For me, wood carving is both craft and exploration—an ongoing process of learning, experimenting, and discovering new possibilities hidden inside the wood.

Every piece starts as a simple block of wood.

Through carving, sanding, and finishing by hand, the form slowly emerges. Sometimes the wood grain suggests the shape, sometimes the idea comes first—but the final piece always evolves during the process.

This is what I love most about carving: discovering what is hidden inside the wood.
